When LaCie technical support’s first solution to fixing my dead hard drive was to send me a new power adapter I thought they were full of crap. The drive was clearly getting power. It was making sounds and the light was on.
But tech support must be humored and so I waited for the new adapter and plugged it in yesterday just so I could confirm that it was a silly idea and report as such.
But glory be and hallelujah it worked. I am entirely unscrewed.
Ready for the next crisis, please.
(And it seems I am not the only one having similar issues… Weird.)
