I was talking with the Nun Lady about the fact that the yuppie dorks who opened a wine bar in her neighborhood in Rogers Park refer to the area not by its proper name, but as RoPa. As if her decidedly gansta-laden environs were now the trendiest place in Manhattan.
Which is why, after considering a few candidates, I’ve decided I live in WeLiSqua. West of Lincoln Square. (WeWeSoLa — West of Western, South of Lawrence — finished a strong second.)
Oh, shit, I think my rent just went up.
